Completing Tasks and Fire Walks on the Mobile App

The FireCloud365 mobile app allows you to efficiently start, complete, and sync all your scheduled and on-demand tasks. Follow these steps to ensure you complete tasks correctly:

Step 1: Starting a Task

  • Open the App:

    • Launch the FireCloud365 mobile app.

  • Click Start a Task:

    • Select "Start a Task" from the main menu.

  • Select Your Site:

    • Choose the site where you will be completing the task.

  • Choose Task Type:

    • Select from either the "Standard" or "On-Demand" heading.

  • Select Your Task:

    • Choose the task you need to complete.

  • Click Start:

    • Begin the task.

Important Note: Each scheduled task has a specific start time, and you can only complete tasks during this allocated time. Tasks cannot be started before the designated start time.

Step 2: Completing an Asset

There are three options for completing an asset:

  • Scan the Asset for Auto-Detection (Android ONLY):
    • Hold your phone over the tag for auto-detection.

  • Scan the QR Code:

    • Tap the orange QR icon and scan the code.

  • Manually Select an Asset:

    • Choose the asset manually from the list.

Important Note for iOS Users:On the new iOS app, you must use the orange QR icon to scan QR codes or NFC tags.

Step 3: Answering Questions

  • Respond to Questions:

    • After selecting or scanning an asset, you will be presented with multiple questions.

    • You must either "Pass" (Green) or "Fail" (Red) each question.

  • Failing an Asset:

    • If an asset fails, you must enter a comment and can optionally take a photo.

    • You can also:

      • Escalate the Failed Asset: Immediately escalate the issue to any user on the escalation list.

      • Add to Incident List: Log the failed asset as an incident, assign it to a user for resolution, and keep a record until it's resolved.

  • Submit and Confirm:

    • Click "Submit" after completing each asset. Wait for the "Asset Saved" confirmation on the screen, and "DONE" will appear over that asset.

  • Repeat:

    • Continue the process for each asset until the entire task is marked as DONE.

Step 4: Syncing Data

  • Automatic Sync:

    • Data is automatically synced and saved on the secure cloud throughout the checks.

  • Manual Sync:

    • To manually sync, swipe down from the "Select Asset," "Select Task," or the home page.

Important Note: If your Wi-Fi connection is weak, the app might show the task as DONE, but it may not save to the server. Ensure that the sync status on the "Start a Task" page is green and that the last sync time matches your phone's current time.

If the sync status is red or the last sync time doesn't match, move to an area with a better connection to resync.

FAQs

Q: I can’t complete my tasks because I have no Wi-Fi in the basement.

A: You don't need a Wi-Fi connection to scan tags. You only need a connection to log in, start a task, and synchronise the task at the end.

Q: Why did my task report as missed in the daily email when it showed as DONE on the app?

A: Ensure you have a strong connection when ending a task so it can save to the server. Confirm that the sync status on the app’s front page shows "SYNCHRONISED" and that the last sync time matches your refreshed app time.

Q: Why do I get the alert “Scanned code doesn’t match with any asset”?

A: This alert can occur for several reasons, such as the tag number not matching the assigned asset, the asset not being assigned to the task, or the tag no longer working.

Q: Why can’t I submit my failed question?

A: You must add a comment when marking any question as failed. Adding a photo is optional.

Q: Why can’t I start my Early task at 3am?

A: You must start your task within the designated start and end times.

Q: I completed my task at 15:30, but it showed as missed in the Site Calendar, Reports section, and daily email. Why?

A: You must complete the task within the specified time period. If the task ends at 15:00, completing it after this time will result in it being marked as missed.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that all tasks and fire walks are completed accurately and that your data is securely synced to the FireCloud365 system.
